Wings & Wishes - Butterfly Garden

3^nd Annual Wings & Wishes Butterfly Garden sponsored by L&M Hospital and co-produced by the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce and the Westerly Lions Club.
On July 11, and 12, 2015, 10am-5pm, over 700 exotic butterflies will be on exhibit for the public at the Wings & Wishes Butterfly Garden at Pleasant Acres Nursery, 130 Franklin Street in Westerly.  The event provides fabulous photo opportunities with these beautiful winged wonders, and information about them.  Learn to identify 7 butterfly species and grow plants for your own butterfly garden.
Other activities that are part of the event include:
Save the Bay exhibit, a local Beekeepers demonstration, local animal and wildlife rescue exhibits, facepainting, and refreshments.
Storytime with Madame Butterfly -  4 times each day

Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children
 
In separate but related activity, on Friday, July 10th at 5:30, 6:00 and 6:30 a "Butterfly Release" event will take place where those who purchase a "Family Pass" at $20 can hold up to three butterflies in their hands white it awakens, and then release it into the Butterfly Garden. The $20 Family Pass includes admission to this event for parents or guardian accompanied with Children, under the age of 18, in the same household. Refreshments will be provided.
