Description
Please join us for our free, guided kayak/canoe paddles on Thursdays. We will pass various local conservation lands, including some of our own Westerly Land Trust preserves. We’ll stop for a swim on some of the trips! These paddles are between 1 ½ to 3 hours long. Bring your own kayak/canoe, paddle, life jacket, whistle, water, snacks, etc. We will shuttle vehicles at 10 AM. Please arrive early: our trips leave promptly.
Meet at 9:45 AM for Stretching with Lindsey, Athletic Trainer from First Physical Therapy, before the paddle trip!
This is a wonderful trip on the stunning Mystic River. We will pass by the Mystic Seaport Museum, where we can get a good look at the tall ships and village beyond. We will launch @ 10:00 AM – no car shuttle. Put in is on River Road. Directions: From I-95 South: Take Exit 89; take right onto Mystic Street; take 1st right onto Cow Hill Road; take 3rd left onto Blindloss Road; take 1st left onto River Road; Put-in is on the right after the I-95 underpass.
