Trails to Ales

Description

The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center (DPNC) seeks to be an advocate for finding inspired ways to enjoy evenings outside with friends and nature. This spring, a new series for adults called Trails to Ales offers participants the opportunity to visit to a local brew pubs and quench their thirst for hops and conversa­tion after a hearty hike in the woods. The series continues on Friday, May 31 with a hike at Grills Preserve in Westerly, RI and a visit to GreySail Brewing in Westerly, RI. The series finale is on Friday, June 28 hiking at Pafford Woods (ALC) in Stonington, CT and a visit to Beer’d Brewing Company in Stonington. Hikes begin at 5:30 p.m. at the designated locations and are led by an educator / naturalist from the Nature Center. Beer tastings, brewery tours and hors d’oeuvres will follow the hikes at the brewery locations at 6:30 p.m. There is limited space allowable, so registration in advance is required for each Friday evening. Participants in Trail to Ales must be 21 years or older. Members are $12 per adult for each program and non-members are $15 per adult for each program.
