Thursday Hike at Weekapaug Beach

Description

This is a beautiful beach that few people outside of the area know about and fewer walk. This beach is an uninhabited strip of sand in Westerly and Charlestown that runs between the ocean and a salt pond. See the Events Calendar page at www.westerlylandtrust.org for details. Directions: From Rte 1, get onto Rte 1A (Shore Road), look for Langworthy Road (there will be a traffic light there). Stay on Langworthy Road; once you pass the bridge, it becomes Wawaloam Drive. At stop sign, turn right onto Noyes Neck Road, at corner it becomes Spray Rock Road. Follow Spray Rock as it curves left along the shore until you see a small parking lot on the right hand side.
