Thursday Hike at Big River Management Area, West Greenwich

Please join us for our free-guided trail walks on Thursdays. We will visit various local conservation properties, including some of our own Westerly Land Trust preserves.  Walks are between 1 ½ to 3 hours and are open to all ages with our target group being agile seniors. On this hike we will continue to explore the 8600 acre Big River Management Area over some fairly flat wide old roads. This area is conducive to snowshoeing but hopefully the snow will be gone by then if not bring them along. Parking is available down Burnt Sawmill Road as well as off of Rte 3. From I-95 take Exit 6 towards West Greenwich onto RI 3S. Follow Rte 3 for .2 mile, turn left onto Burnt Sawmill Rd. (some maps call it Sawmill Road).
