Description
The Chorus of Westerly’s 59th Season Symphonic Series debuts with THE MUSIC MAKERS, a moving work by twentieth century composer, Edward Elgar. Rarely performed outside of England, THE MUSIC MAKERS is an emotion-filled piece featuring a grand orchestra of lush strings and bombastic brass. Also on the program are two other pieces: DOVE - Pslams for Leo and PARRY - I Was Glad. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a great tribute to the choral traditions of the United Kingdom!
Two performances available: Saturday, November 11, 2017, 6pm and Sunday, November 12, 2017, 2pm. Featuring music director and conductor Andrew Howell, and soloist Heather Johnson, mezzo soprano.
