In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Westerly Hospital will host a free community education program entitled “Breast Cancer: The Latest in Screening Recommendations and Treatment Options” on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in Westerly Hospital’s Henry J. Nardone Conference Center.
Presenting will be three Westerly Hospital physicians, Shereene Brown, MD, Obstetric and Gynecology, Jeffrey L. Christian, MD, General Surgery, and Robert Legare, MD, Oncology/Hematology, who will discuss the latest screening recommendations and treatment updates including both surgical and nonsurgical (chemotherapy and immunotherapy) options.
