Few areas of the globe stimulate the imagination as much as the polar regions do. Polar scenery ranges from serene beauty to awe-inspiring savagery. Polar wildlife is the result of successful adaptations to incredibly harsh ecosystems against apparently insurmountable difficulties. The human history of both the Arctic and the Antarctic is simultaneously tragic and inspiring. The two environments, similar in many ways, are very different in other ways. The Arctic and the Antarctic are quite literally poles apart. Meets at the Arts Barn at Coogan Farm.
Charles Kingsley is a noted attorney in New Haven, CT and a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School. Besides his professional distinctions, Kingsley has served as a Director of the Connecticut Audubon Society, the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation and numerous other organizations. He was awarded the C. Newton Schenck III Award for lifetime achievement in the arts by the Arts Council of Greater New Haven in 2017 for his work as a wildlife photographer.
