The 2014 Westerly Land Trust Hike-a-thon

Description

The 2014 Westerly Land Trust Hike-a-thon will take place on Saturday, October 4 from 9a.m. to noon at the Grills Preserve. (Registration starts at 8:30a.m.)

The Hike-a-thon is a fun event for all ages where you can hike to celebrate and support the open space lands and trails that the Land Trust makes available to the public. Walk with friends, family members and coworkers to explore the beautiful Grills Preserve for this inaugural event. Each team member is asked to raise money to support the important long term stewardship that is critical to keeping Westerly Land Trust preserves managed to benefit wildlife and people alike. 

Businesses, families and friends are encouraged to create a team and register at www.westerlylandtrust.org. Participants have a choice between a 1.2 and a 4.6 mile hike. A minimum $25 donation is requested of adults; children no minimum donation.  T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 pre-registered participants.  Paper pledge forms and registration forms are available at the WLT office.
