Salt Marsh Opera Presents Carmen OCTOBER 8 & 10 AT THE KATE IN OLD SAYBROOK, CT.
The opera Carmen is based on a short novel set in the year 1830. The leading man in the story, Don José, is lured away from his duty as a soldier and his hometown sweetheart Micaëla, by a seductive Spanish gypsy, Carmen. Don José risks everything by allowing Carmen to escape from custody. Join us to see the most well-known music in opera history and a performance you won’t want to miss.
