NESS Summer Programs (June 22-August 28)
New England Science & Sailing (NESS) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in its 10th year offering ocean adventure summer programs for students ages 4 -17. This year’s summer programs run for 10 weeks, from June 22 to August 28. Courses include ocean adventure sports such as kayaking, SUP, surfing, etc., and courses in power boating, and sailing. NESS is a US Powerboating Training Center and was named Outstanding Community Sailing Center in the nation by US Sailing in 2013. Currently operating out of three locations (Stonington, CT; New London, CT; and Westerly, RI), NESS provides year-round programs that engage students in experiential learning that builds confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. All classes are taught by fully trained, certified and experienced staff members. Over half of our students receive financial aid in order to make the sea accessible to all.
