Celebrate America’s birthday circa 1876 this Fourth of July at Mystic Seaport. Picnic alongside your 19th-century neighbors on the Village Green at noon and cheer for your favorite display in the Independence Day Parade at one o’clock sharp. Small patriots can craft hats to wear in their very own section of the parade! A rousing 1876 Independence Day ceremony will be followed by an elegant concert featuring the Mystic Silver Cornet Band on the Village Green.
Play croquet and other 19th-century lawn games on the Village Green. Children are invited to participate in an old-fashioned spelling bee and help churn ice cream and reap the delicious rewards.
