BRADFORD TO POTTER HILL PADDLE ON THE PAWCATUCK RIVER
Join us for another season of exploring the Pawcatuck River with veteran kayaker Al Brown. The Pawcatuck is considered a wild and scenic local resource that runs through woodlands, farmlands and areas of cultural interest. For this paddle trip, we will do an easy portage around the Bradford Dam and go downstream to Potter Hill. Along the paddle, we will pass conservation lands owned by the Nature Conservancy and the Westerly Land Trust. This is a one-way trip downriver with a return shuttle. Bring your own kayak or canoe and don’t forget to bring a lunch as well. This program is adult-oriented and departs the Nature Center at 9 a.m. or at the put-in at 9:30 a.m. The duration of the trip is estimated and depends on weather and speed of water.
