Annual Veteran's Day Parade

Veteran's Day Parade
November 8, 2014

 
The Parade will line up at the Pawcatuck Shopping Center on 37 South Broad Street in Pawcatuck at 8:30 AM and step off at 9:30 AM. The marchers will proceed out of the back parking lot of the Pawcatuck Shopping Center and take a right (east) on Route #234. The marchers will travel on Route #234 to Route #1 (West Broad Street), where the marchers will stop at the World War I Monument for a brief ceremony.
 
After the brief ceremony at the World War I Monument, the marchers will turn left (east) onto Route #1 (West Broad Street) and continue marching into downtown Pawcatuck/Westerly. Turn onto High Street and continue to Railroad Ave and the Westerly Armory. At the conclusion of all marching we will enter the armory for our speaking and celebratory exhibitions.

   These are the Rules and Regulations for both of the parades if you intend on placing a float(s) or drive any    type of vehicle(s).
 
   Rules and Regulations please note;
1. We need a copy of your Insurance Coverage if you intend to have a float
2. Horns, Whistles and Sirens of any kind are not permitted.
3. There will be no distributions or fundraising by any float applicant. No objects of any kind may be thrown,
sprayed or otherwise distributed to spectators from any entry (including, but not limited to candy, silly string,
snappers, advertisements, pamphlets, etc.) Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the parade.
4. All floats must carry an approved, fully charged fire extinguisher that is easily accessible.
5. Drivers must be with vehicle at all times prior to and during parade.
6. Do not climb on or exit a moving float
