Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center Plans Fun-Filled Earth Day Celebration

Family-Friendly Event Will Feature Guided Walks, Crafts, Animals, and More

Adults and families may join a guided wild edibles walk, try their hand at pond dipping, learn more about recycling and composting, and visit more than 30 exhibit tables from local businesses and organizations.

Children of all ages will enjoy sifting for rocks and shells, creating nesting bags, dissecting owl pellets, meeting barnyard and forest animals, and acting as wildlife rehabilitators in our pretend animal hospital.

The event will feature several entertaining performances including a demonstration by the Stonington Canine Police, a dance by the Westerly Morris Men and a presentation on the Owls of Southeastern CT.

The event is sponsored by Aquarion Water Company and The Washington Trust Company.
