The sandy glacial soils of the Charlestown moraine are ideal for mountain laurels, and the Duval Trail runs through a thick forest of these beautiful native shrubs. Join the Weekapaug Inn Naturalist for an outing in late June when they are in full bloom. Enjoy the sights and smells of as you walk through tunnels of giant white and blush pink blossoms.
