Celebrate Shakespeare’s Birthday!! Birthday Cake, Refreshments & Entertainment Come party like it’s 1599! Co-Sponsored by Colonial Theater (Shakespeare-in-the-Park) and The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly, located at 7 Canal Street in downtown Westerly, RI
Our program centers around Twelfth Night, one of Shakespeare’s comedies, with festive and romantic themes - this summer’s Shakespeare in the Park selection!
· Hear interesting comments about the plays themes and scenes, and performance history, along with a brief play synopsis from the Colonial Theater’s Artistic Director, Harland Meltzer.
· Enjoy performance of scenes from this play performed by this year’s Shakespeare-to-Go cast members, a special Colonial Theater troupe that travels to schools in CT and RI.
· Exercise your inner actor, have fun opportunity to read scenes from the play with fellow audience members.
· Q & A about Colonial Theater – ask how you can get involved.
Doors Open at 6:30pm: Come early, enjoy our April art show, find a café seat, have a piece of complimentary Birthday Cake, get coffee & cookies, and enjoy the show! Entertainment starts at 7pm
