DESCRIPTION:Join us for DPNC's first BioBlitz on Saturday\, May 2 and help us discover the incredible diversity of life right here at the Nature Center! A BioBlitz is a fun\, fast-paced community science event where participants work together to find and identify as many species as possible in a single day.\n\nThroughout the day\, expert-led hikes will explore different groups of organisms along our trails\, including birds (8 10 am)\, fungi (10 am 12 pm)\, amphibians and reptiles (12 2 pm)\, and plants (2 4 pm). Along the way\, we'll document the species we encounter and build a snapshot of the biodiversity that calls our property home.\n\nEach hike will be guided by a knowledgeable naturalist who will help with identification and share fascinating facts about the plants and animals we find so no experience is necessary. Whether you're a seasoned naturalist or simply curious about the natural world\, come be part of this exciting day of discovery!
