DESCRIPTION:The 26th Annual Pawcatuck River Duck Race!\n\nDate:  Saturday\, April 25th\, 11:30AM - 2:00PM\n\n\n\nWhat's the Duck Race all about? \n\n20\,000 rubber ducks are dumped into the Pawcatuck River on the Westerly\, Rhode Island\, and Pawcatuck\, Connecticut border for a race that benefits 25+ local charities.  Children's games\, food booths\, and other activities make this a wonderful family event.\n\n\n\nThe ducks are dropped from a front-end payloader on the side of the bridge. They land in the river in a controlled lane of oil booms established by more than 10 members of the US Coast Guard\, working with community volunteers.  The race is regulated by officials and spotters stationed with Numerous boats\, nets\, and buckets to retrieve all ducks. We are good stewards of the environment and can ensure the safe return of all ducks to shore.\n\n\n\nWho is this fundraiser for? \n\nThis fundraiser is to help many local Schools and Non-profits raise money for their worthy causes. \n\n\n\nI want to get my Business involved in the duck race. How can I participate?\n\nThe Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce has many ways your business can help support this great event. \n\n\n\n1.  You can become a Duck Race Sponsor!  Without the generous support of our sponsors\, this event would not be the success it has been for all these years.   We have many different sponsorship levels\, and we are more than happy to help you figure out a sponsorship level to help you reach your marketing goals!\n\nCLICK HERE TO SPONSOR THE DUCK RACE\n\n\n\n2.  You can also participate by sponsoring a Corporate Duck!  Every year right before the main duck race\, we hold a special race for corporate sponsors.  Only 150 ducks are entered into this race\, and one lucky duck will win the grand prize of $1\,500 in cash!!  The Corporate Duck Entrant Fee is $150.   \n\n\n\nAll corporate duck races will be listed by company name in the event program distributed in the Westerly Sun and in the "Thank You" ad in the Chamber newsletter\, distributed to 800 members.
